Self-Study

The Self-Study method allows you to take courses wherever and whenever you want. You can learn at your own pace, using the supplementary materials supplied to gauge your progress. And each BOMI textbook is filled with valuable tables, figures, checklists, and resources that you can use right away, right on the job.

SELF-STUDY PROCEDURES AND POLICIES

Self-Study students must register directly with BOMI Canada. Course materials will be sent directly to the mailing address listed on your registration form. Examinations are administered five times a year on nationally standardized exam dates.

• If you have not selected an examination date, you will automatically be registered for the earliest upcoming scheduled examination. Please print your selected exam date in the space indicated on the registration form. Exam dates are subject to change based on proctor and/or exam site availability. Approximately two weeks prior to your scheduled exams, you will receive an exam notice by mail. If you are not prepared to write your exam on the date you have selected, you are permitted to transfer your exam to a new date for a fee of $65+GST. You must complete your exam within one year of the first exam date you selected or be subject to a re-registration fee of $115.00 +GST.

• If you have not selected an examination date, you will automatically be registered for the earliest upcoming examination. Students have one year from their first exam date selected to complete an exam. Please print your selected exam date in the space indicated on the registration form. Exam dates are subject to change based on proctor and/or exam site availability. Approximately two weeks prior to your scheduled exams, you will receive an exam notice by mail.

• Students who register for the Ethics Is Good Business ® ShortCourse™ in the Self-Study format will be allowed 3 months from the date of registration to complete and return the take-home exam. Students who exceed this 3-month period will incur a $85 + GST re-registration fee.

• Your exam site is considered the nearest major city. If there is no major city within 50 miles of your home, please contact the Institute at 1-888-821-9319.

• Late self-study exam registration - Each scheduled exam date has a registration deadline– There is an $85 + GST fee for late self-study registrations. Late registrations must be received within 5 business days after the registration deadline.
