Course requirements as of September 1, 2002.

To earn the FMA® designation, you must successfully complete six mandatory courses plus one elective course plus the Ethics Is Good Business® ShortCourse™:

• Technologies for Facilities Management
• Facilities Planning and Project Management
• Environmental Health and Safety Issues
• The Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems, Part I
• The Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Building Systems, Part II
• Real Estate Investment and Finance
  
• Ethics Is Good Business®
• Fundamentals of Facilities Management (Elective)
• Managing the Organization (Elective)

Courses in the FMA® curriculum are designed to cover the equivalent of 30 classroom hours (with the exception of the Ethics Is Good Business®).
